libraries

After leaving my first career in the film and television industry, I found my calling with technology and creative services after serving as a technology and marketing specialist for the Concord Free Public Library.

Libraries provide not only books but also the digital resources and tools for people to flourish and live in a rapidly changing technological landscape. Technical and digital literacy are necessary skills, and libraries have the opportunity to provide free and accessible instruction to those who need it, in addition to those looking to broaden their experiences with technology such as maker-based tools. With some exceptions, public libraries also provide free technological resources, such as internet and STEAM toys for families who cannot afford their own.

Ultimately, libraries are instrumental in closing the digital divide in the United States, and a necessity for a modern, democratic society. I use technology regularly for my own artistic endeavors, but libraries are my profession, my passion, and my home.
